    Comment by gaby - November 6, 2008 @ 11:17 AM

  20. The mask was painted by Gene over at Frightstuff.com, if you check out the site their are a lot of great artists and users there. The users their also helped me with ideas and critiques as I made the rest of the costume. If you're into special effects and horror check it out!

    Comment by Jason Voorhees - November 6, 2008 @ 5:58 PM

  21. I love this! It looks so authentic. Great attention to detail. I can tell lots of thought was put into this. Great job!

    Comment by Nicole - November 7, 2008 @ 6:19 AM

  22. It looks like they discovered that if you delete your cookies or turn them off you can keep voting for yourself multiple times. This costume shouldn't have even been in the top 40

    Comment by Yeahright - November 7, 2008 @ 10:56 AM

  23. cool scary!

    Comment by Tone - November 7, 2008 @ 11:42 AM

  24. I think Yeahright is just being lame, they are obviously voting towards someone else. You can definitely tell a lot of thought and hard work was put into this costume! They did a great job. Besides if they didn't know you could re-vote that easily before, they do now. Maybe you should go find something to do with your pathetic life besides come online and put people down for getting votes for something they worked hard on.

Great Job on the costume, you have my vote!

    Comment by Yeahright is LAME - November 7, 2008 @ 7:15 PM

  25. How was this a lot of work? Cut up an old pair of overalls, put on work gloves & a hockey mask and buy a big plastic knife at Toys R Us. How did you get 2000 friends to vote all in one hour?

    Comment by Just Wondering - November 7, 2008 @ 8:05 PM

  26. Its a good costume..don't get me wrong...I just saw 3 of them at a friend's halloween costume.

    Comment by Joe - November 7, 2008 @ 9:42 PM

  27. ...at a friend's Halloween party that is......

    Comment by Joe - November 7, 2008 @ 9:42 PM

  28. Actually, the mask was molded from the original movie mold, hand painted and hand weathered. The head underneath is also handmade, out of latex, and hand painted. Those are not cutup overalls, but a jumpsuit which was flash burned in specific patterns to come out the way it did. The fake blood used was homemade to provide the specific consistency needed for the color to show through on the jumpsuit. All in all the costume took about 30 or so hours to create and was all done by hand. It had nothing to do with "just getting a hockey mask and going to toy's r us". If you want more detailed pictures I have some posted online, if you guys want I can put the site up. I got so many people to vote through networking, special effects sites, movie sites, horror sites, school, work, myspace, facebook, email, its not that hard. One of my jobs is marketing, the network effect is not hard jump start.

    Comment by Jason Voorhees - November 7, 2008 @ 10:48 PM

  29. Wow. So you went to the trouble of obtaining the original movie mold for the mask and making blood yourself (don't even want to know how you did that) and ended up with a look that could've come from Toys R Us. Doubly lame.

    Comment by Just Wondering - November 8, 2008 @ 4:11 PM

  30. Wow. So you went to all the trouble of getting your hands on the original movie mold and made homemade blood (I don't even want to ask) and you still ended up with a look that could've come from Toys R Us. Doubly Lame

    Comment by Just Wondering - November 8, 2008 @ 4:13 PM

  31. I'd like you to run down to Toys R Us and show us all how you come up with a costume like this. Ever seen the horror movie costumes they sell there and at other costume shops? The look like garbage bags and have 20 cent plastic masks. Much props to someone who goes around the Internet bad mouthing someone's work, forget double lame, you're a grade A !@#$%^&*( my friend. Get a life.

  32. I'm not one for Internet mudslinging, so by and by, if you dig my costume, cool, if not, cool, to each his own. There's enough negativity in the world without sitting on the Internet and arguing about opinions and putting people down. A costume contest is about having fun looking at people's costumes.
